Description
Fall Arrest Block with a 5.5m webbing lifeline in a plastic housing to EN360:2002
This plastic housed fall arrest block is a sturdy, low maintenance device fitted with a webbing lifeline, terminated with an aluminium double action hook. The attachment anchorage point on the fall arrest block is a cast aluminium swivel eye ø16mm, suitable for connection via a Standard Karabiner type connector, or a Standard Karabiner type connector with an Anchorage Sling.
The lifeline in this fall arrest block has been tested in a simulated fall over an edge and passed the German draft amendment EN360. However, not all “edges” will react in the same way as the tested steel edge, so when using this fall arrest block, every effort must be made to ensure that in the event of an arrested fall, the lifeline does not pass over an edge.
The dimensions of this block are: 300 x 130 x 78 mm.
The weight of the block is: 1.5 Kg.
It should be noted that this IKAR Fall Arrest Block is CE marked against EN360 under the PPE Directive and should be treated as such and NOT as lifting equipment.
Other lengths of this fall arrest block are available to special order, delivery lead time approximately 4 weeks.
Service and inspection requirements for this fall arrest block is that it should be inspected and function checked by a trained competent person on a regular basis as deemed by a risk assessment for the environment in which it is used and frequency of use, but at least every 6 months. Additionally, every 12 months it should be returned to IKAR GB, the UK’s ONLY approved UK in-house facility, for a Full Service, when it will be tested under workshop conditions and re-certificated as laid down by the manufacturer IKAR GmbH.
